Diretor (a) de Soluções para o Clima – trabalho remoto

The position is responsible for CI´s program implementation in Brasil, leading CI-Brazil’s program for climate solutions, including its three strategies (i) public policies for sustainability; (ii) climate finance; and (iii) landscape restoration. That includes performing strategic oversight, project management, multilateral dialogs, public policy articulations with governments from national and sub-national levels, team building, technical support, and large-scale fundraising to leverage a specific component of our program. So, in addition to the technical duties, the position will also cover strategic articulation related to carbon markets, payment for ecosystem services, innovation in finance, multilateral environmental agreements, forest economies, and other related matters. Responds functionally to the Senior Program Director and work with directors of other technical areas of the organization for the development of activities relevant to the challenge of deploying nature-based solutions to fight the climate crisis.

The position will contribute to the strategic planning of the area and to portfolio management, ensuring quality in technical delivery and strategic oversight of the agenda. It supports the Senior Program Director in fundraising efforts, including proposals development, and supervises the assigned team, being responsible for ensuring the good environment and operational excellence in all its duties.

Key responsabilities:

• Lead the design of CIB program, as a key contribution for the Southern Cross implementation.

• Lead design of key project proposals to fulfill programmatic gaps.

• Lead and manage teams under its responsibility to ensure quality project implementation.

• Manage technical and financial execution of projects under its responsibilities.

• Represent CIB in important forum, discussions, congresses, committee, and other governance bodies according to guidance of the VP.
